The Management of “April 17 Music” confirms that its Lead Artist, Bala Emmanuel (Bala2K- his Artistic name) has been arrested in Buea.
Bala2K was illegally arrested by the Police on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at about 06:47 Pm at Checkpoint-Buea as he was eroute to Limbe.
Few days to his unlawful arrest, Bala received several threats from an Unknown mobile number, asking his to get rid of his recently released “Award-Winning” video, titled; Boko Haram.
We confirm that this track is not at all political; it doesn’t in any way support terror, vandalism or violence; rather, Bala2K’s Boko Haram track shares in the pain ofthe Pangs victims of the said terrorist group are going through.
We refute news circulating that Bala2K was part of a Violent Protest last Friday,September 22, 2017. It’s worth noting that Bala has no criminal record; Bala Emmanuel is a Peaceful, Gentle, Modest and Devoted citizen who stands for #Justice, #EqualTreanment, #Peace, #Humanity. He is not a #Terrorist, has never been associated to any Terrorist, Vandalism, or Violence.
The management of his Music Label- “April 17 Music”, are yet to confirm where Bala has been taken to. It would appear he was taken out of Buea.
We condemn his arrest and demand he be released unconditionally.
