The decision came after a candidate dragged COMICA to court over fraud. The Candidate number 20 said she was relegated to the background by members of the organizing committee when she was called up amongst the top 10 finalists.

COMICA has been at the center of criticism lately for choosing a candidate who could not sing the national nnthem as the most beautiful woman of Cameroon.

Last year, the 2017 Miss Cameroon was dismissed over what COMICA termed insubordination.
