Documentary on TB Joshua: BBC criticized for releasing film on dead Prophet

The BBC has come under heavy criticism for releasing a three-part documentary about the life of late Prophet TB Joshua, founder of the Lagos-based, Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN.

In the films that last at least 50 minutes each, former Disciples of the Church recounted how powerful a Man-of-Gos he was but also how dangerous and manipulating he treated the people around him.

The revelation made by two former Nigerian disciples noted that the late TB Joshua targeted Whites and the entire Western world. He made his videos targeting them because he wanted to “enslave them like they did to his forefathers”

He is also accused of not letting them sleep well, beating them, and confiscating their passports, thereby cutting the White disciples off their families.

The BBC also interviewed several other alleged victims who said there were forced abortions and other atrocities done by TB Joshua.

The BBC African Eye, the group of investigators said they gathered evidence of manipulation and unimaginable atrocities committed by the late TB Joshua

But Africans have not welcomed this investigation by the BBC. On BBC’s social media handles, hundreds of messages have said this is a misplaced priority because TB Joshua is not alive to give his part of the story.

“Let him rest…..we were all there when he was alive and we have seen him manifesting love to so many ….let him rest ….he remains the God’s general and rest well TBJ,” one person commented.

Another said, “Let’s focus on the good a man did . Such things he did can only be done if God was in him. We appreciate God for the lives who were changed because of the ministry. Having this hate towards him even in his grave will not solve anything.”

Another person asked the BBC to investigate the Pope, “why fighting the clean Man instead of focusing on Pope Francis. Let the world know that who so ever is under Pope Francis will perish and TB Joshua was just smart.”

“Even in death, you people still fight the man?” someone wondered.

Accolades have kept coming in since the BBC findings were made public early Monday, “He really impacted Africa by his sound doctrine about Christ…. I recall his sermon on “Let Love Lead” May God Continue revealing himself to the world through his Servants.”

Someone said the BBC should investigate the Royal family, where BBC was created in the UK, “Investigate about the mysteries surrounding the royal family especially the queen leave The man of God alone”

TB Joshua died on June 5, 2021 in Lagos. His Church, SCOAN, is now controlled by his wife, Evelyn Joshua.
