The Publisher of The Guardian Post, Ngah Kristian, was released on Wednesday night after spending 10 hours in detention, the newspaper revealed.

According to a communique, Gendarmes dressed in mufti, are said to have tricked security guards at the head office of the newspaper, that they were Council agents. But once they gained access into the building, they arrested Mr Ngah over a “fake cover page story” which The Guardian Post said they never wrote.

The fake cover page story, which the Guardian Post suspects was created by Ambazonia Separatists

The arrest came two days after gunmen suspected to be Ambazonia separatists from Mamfe, killed at least 25 ( government sources) on November 6, 2023.

But The Guardian Post said they are not aware of such a cover page, presenting the original one that was published by the media house.
