New Stars Of Douala Secure The Services Of Attacking Midfielder Ngongang Junior Figo From Racing Bafoussam

Tiko,Cameroon-Saturday December 30, 2017-11:00 AM Local Time (Cameroon News Agency) 2017 Cup of Cameroon winners New Stars of Douala have secured the services of 17 year old attacking midfielder, NGONGANG JUNIOR FIGO from relegated Racing of Bafoussam.

The forward who was born in Bangangte leaves his region of origin (West region) after a good season for him as an individual which saw him score 7 goals in 30 league one games.

Ngongang penned a 2 year deal for an undisclosed fee and rejoins New Stars were he started his football dream as a trainee between 2011-2012.

The striker who previously featured for Oragan(2012-2015) and Racing(2015-2017). In his 2 years at Racing mostly operating as an attacking midfielder  scored 10 goals with his best returns in the second year.

The Olympic Lion recieved his first called up in 2016 aged 16 when Richard Towa invited him to camp for a friendly game against Morocco. He signs for New Stars after turning down offers from UMS Loum,Union Sportive Douala, Unisport of Bafang,Aigle Royal of Menoua,Dragon FC,Panthere of Nde,Feutcheu FC and Fovu of Baham because he believes at New Stars he is nearly certain he will achieve his football dreams.

In a related development,after failing to sign Ngongang Junior,Newly promoted Fovu of Baham have  confirmed the  signing of MTN Elite One top scorer two seasons ago Platini Kaham .

Kaham joins Fovu from Union Sportive of Douala where he spent last season failing to repeat his form at Lion Blesse.
For Kaham, if West is where he scores best,then going back to his former home is worth while.
