Military lionesses get silver at world cup

The military lionesses of Cameroon have lost their gold battle to France on a 1 goal to 2 score at the women’s military world cup in Spokane, USA.

The girls lost in a highly disputed encounter that saw them take the lead with a 24th minute goal.

The second half of the game frowned at the Lionesses as the equalizer came, followed by a red card shown to goalkeeper Annette Ngo Ndom and then France’s second goal.

This performance is however highly saluted by many as it is the first time an African team has reached this stage of the competition. Cameroon however bags the title of the top scorer, with Brenda Tabe securing 9 goals to her name.

The rendezvous has been taken for next year in the Netherlands.
