PCC Moderator,Archbishiop of Bamenda,Fon Azehfor lll of Nkwen and the Paramount ruler of Buea call for peace in 2023

The paramount ruler of Buea Chief Esuka Endeley, the Bamenda Archbishop Andrew Ankea, the Fon of Nkwen Azehfor lll and the PCC Moderator Rev. Fonki Samuel have called for peace in the two English-speaking regions in 2023.

“I know so well that my people of Buea, not leaving out my children, brothers and sisters in Bamenda have gone through what our eyes have seen. I am aware of the fact that these past 4 to 5 years have made Bamenda a nightmare and scary for many. We all have witnessed violence that have taken the lives of our children and mothers not leaving out our fathers. Properties have been down for so long now, yes I am aware. We are fortunate to all still be alive approaching a new year 2023. I am pleading for us to seek peace more this time so we can finally have little rest and recover. A wonderful festive celebration to everyone,” Paramount ruler of Buea Chief Esuka Endeley said.

“Another new year is coming, We have lived in much torture over the passed years. Christmas came for us to forgive one another and a new year is coming to give peace a chance, to take away the trauma, take away the pain and to have a little bit of smile on our faces because the times have been very traumatizing and difficult for all of us. May God bless our end of year festivities and a new year to forget all the sufferings and mysteries we have gone through,” Rev Fonki Samuel said.

“Jesus is the prince of peace and we are confident that this Christmas brought peace and 2023 comes to us as a year of grace and with load of favour .I pray for a peaceful coexistence for us to live with one another and be able to live in peace 2023 and the lion and the lamb shall live in peace,” His Grace Andrew Nkea Bamenda Archbishop declared.

The paramount ruler chief Esuka Endeley earlier this year, had pleaded with the people of Buea to stop keeping guns at home be it for hunting or for what ever reasons after a group of young men were arrested in possession of arms in Buea town. He had equally asked every hunter to register their guns if they have to keep it .
