Lawyer threatens Samuel Eto’o with lawsuit on the Liliane Mbog Binyet matter
This is a new twist in another Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) chapter. Counsel Dominique Fousse, who is lawyer to the recently fired Liliane Mbog Binyet says Samuel Eto’o’s action is illegal.
The lawyer explains that her client, former head of the marketing department has been on a sick leave for a couple of weeks and had informed hierarchy. She explains that Liliane Mbog’s health situation was mentioned as far back as March 10 2022 and so she cannot be accused of abandoning her duty post.
Liliane Ngo Mbock, she mentioned has done a lot to revamp the image of the football body. This includes social media platforms, sponsorships secured with Orange Cameroon, Guiness, Coq Sportif, Brasseries, CAMAIRCO, and the CHANAS insurance company just to name a few. These contributions are estimated to have brought in 1 billion, 800 million FCFA between 2021 and 2022.
The counsel says in spite of these, Samuel Eto’o had proposed that Liliane Ngo Mbock amicably leave the federation and this was still in negotiation before the communique announcing the end of her contract with FECAFOOT was made public. An act which she deems harmful to the image of her client and representative of the chaos that she claims reigns at FECAFOOT since December 11 2021. The matter will therefore be taken to court.
Samuel Eto’o Fils on May 4th signed a communique announcing that Liliane Ngo Mbock is no longer head of the marketing department of FECAFOOT and is suspected of embezzlement
