GBHS Babessi In Flames

The administrative block of Government Bilingual High School, GBHS Babessi in Ngoketunjia division, North West region is alleged to have been set ablaze, local inhabitants confirmed.

Locals in the Nkabamoun area woke up early Saturday June 10, 2017 to discover the incident at about 9 am. The roof of the building was completely shattered and locals could not reach the top of the building due to height.

The cause of the fire incident has not been established but several other schools hosting public examinations have been targets of fire incidents whose causes have remained a mystery.

GCE examinations begin this Monday June 12,2017.

Government Bilingual High school Babessi was created in 1999.
