Fury-Ngannou Fight: Unconditional support for Ngannou on home soil

“The Battle of the Baddest ” between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, on the night of Saturday, October 28, is the fight of the Year and highly awaited by populations in the West Region and particularly in Batié, in the Upper Plateaux division.

Ahead of the Riyadh Season fight in Saudi Arabia, some personalities and people of the West Region have been pouring their unconditional support in favor of Francis Nganou who hails from Batié.

The Fon of Batié, HRM Tchouainkam DADA Théodore has been begging the gods of the land to help their son bag home the prestigious victory.

” I’m calling on the population of Batié to support our son so that the dream becomes a reality. I pray that the gods of our land, the gods of all shrines and oracles in Batié give our son Nganou a chance to bring home this victory so that we present it here at the Batié market square which is our symbolic meeting place, a place of unity and concord” declares HRM Tchouainkam Dada Théodore.

A fight which according to many fans will turn in favor of the “predator” despite what bookmakers predict.

” I count on his powerful punch to win this fight. I placed so much money on him and wrote many encouraging messages to him so that he brings back the victory” Says Hubert Tsakou.

It should be noted that many bookmakers are considering Francis Nganou as an outsider ahead of the fight.

” Since he began preparing for the fight, the Batié spirit and youths in Batié have been rallying behind him for this challenge. Our traditional ruler also mobilized the people and sled for their unconditional support” declares Monique Constantine

In the West Regional capital Bafoussam, authorities have also been mobilizing the population to ensure a victory come Saturday night.

“We are proud of Francis not only because he is a Cameroonian, but also because he is a son from the West Region. When he was revealed to the world as champion, he came back right here to his roots in Bafoussam. So the population is behind him for this very important match in his career. We are sure he will win this fight.” declares Roger Tafam, City Mayor of Bafoussam.

Francis Nganou goes into this fight after leaving UFC over a year ago. Francis holds an MMA record of 17 victories and 12 KOs in 20 fights.
This fight will also be his initiation into boxing 🥊 which has always been his dream.

On the other hand, Tyson Fury is considered the world’s best with a record of 33 victories with 24 KOs in 34 fights. He has never been defeated.
