Far North: Three Killed, Two Injured In Boko Haram Attacks
Maroua, Cameroon-Thursday January 11, 2018-1:30 PM Local Time (Cameroon News Agency) Three civilians have died, while two others sustained injuries in the far north region of Cameroon, following two separate attacks suspected to have been orchestrated by Nigerian based Islamist Sect, Boko Haram, military source has confirmed.
They raided the locality of Assigassia where one person was killed, one wounded and several homes destroyed.
The attackers also visited the village of Gangawa and killed two persons, wounding one.
The attacks took place last night but security has been reinforced in the area since yesterday.
Boko Haram has been wrecking havoc in Cameroons far north region but has never given reasons for the attacks contrary to neighboring Nigeria where the group is fighting to establish Islamist Caliphate in the northern parts of the country.
