Environment: Numfor Solange Foundation wages war against maritime pollution
The soldiers of the environment took the Iliki beach by storm, storming the polluted areas with manpower to eradicate the phenomenon.
This is a prelude to world environment day, a day set aside to highlight the importance of preserving nature and the environment.
The Numfor Solange Foundation carried out beach cleaning, removing debris from the shores.
On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, the Bobende village young men and women came out to match words with action, thus contributing to the 48th world environment day.
The founder of Numfor Solange Foundation, This is just one of the many actions her foundation intends to clear beaches of debris.
“This campaign is not an end in itself but a means to curb the main problems of ocean pollution… We will like to sensitize the population on the importance of such an activity.” Dr. Numfor said in a statement.
A representative from the ministry of environment and nature protection said their main objective on the 48th world environment day is to raise awareness public awareness and get everybody involved… Get the population involved and other stakeholders to fight against issues affecting the environment.
