Cameroon Sacks Football Coach Over Poor Performance

Cameroon has said goodbye to the head coach of the country’s senior national football team, the Indomitable Lions, Clarence Serdoff , the Minister for Sports and Physical Education, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi has announced.

He made the announcement on state media, adding that Mr. Serdoff failed to manage the team and human resources put at his disposal during the 2019 AFCON. The Sports Minister also said Seroff’s assistant, Patrick Kluivert, has fallen out with former. Kluivert has shown interest in becoming the main coach.

Cameroon lost to Nigeria 1-2 in the 8 finals of the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

“The entire technical staff will be sacked and changes will also be made in the other national teams”. The Sports’ Minister said.

Shortly after the poor performance of the 2017 African champions, Serdoff did not return to Cameroon as should be the case. News of his sacking was already rife. His choice of players is said to have been influenced by his long-time friend Samuel Eto’s.
