Armed Men Succumb To Gendarme Bullets In Douala
DOUALA, Cameroon-Tuesday June 5, 2018-4:30 PM Local Time (Cameroon News Agency) Some 8 armed robbers have been apprehended by Gendarmes around BP Cite, a neighborhood Douala, Monday.
They were caught after a failed attempt to rob two Mobile Money Sales agents in the area at about midday.
The armed men, after engaging in a shootout with Gendarmes were overpowered as their legs were targeted and wounded by the men in uniforms.
Reports say the men usually storm Mobil Money Kiosks pretending to be customers, when they discover that everyone is out, they will surrender the Sales person at gun point before making away with money and other valuable items. They are now in provisional detention.
Many Feared Dead In Mbanga Accident
One person has died on the spot and many others feared dead in a ghastly road accident which occurred in Mbanga, Moungo Division in Littoral region Tuesday.
A Truck crushed an inter-urban transport bus, Hiace, removing the roof of the car.The victims were rushed the District hospital.
