Father accused of severely injuring son with machete

Fresh and severe wounds have been discovered on an 8-year-old whose name CNA got as Mboffe Estebane a month after he was reportedly beaten by his father.

The child who lives in Babadjou subdivision is receiving treatment at the medical center of the subdivision after he was beaten by his father a month ago with a machete.

The child, according to family sources, fell sick some days ago and was taken to hospital where medics discovered deep and fresh wounds on his thigh and these wounds were the reason for his health problems.

Questionned on the origins of the wounds, the class 2 pupil revealed that the wounds were incurred a month ago when his father used a machete to beat him.

Mama Diffo Rosette, the child’s grand mother, reveals that the Estebane was harshly beaten that day simply because he was sent by his father to fetch water and returned home late in the evening. A month after the incident, questions have risen on whether or not the father was aware of the wounds and if yes why he did not treat them since.
