The Ministers of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, Marie Thérèse Abena Ondoa, and of Scientific Research and Innovation, Madeleine Tchuente, have visited the family of little Mathis, who was tragically murdered on May 10, 2025, in Yaoundé.
This visit marks another development in the case of six-year-old Mathis, who was allegedly killed by Dagobert Nwafo, the father of a renowned artist.
This wave of governmental solidarity, viewed by some as belated, has sparked criticism—particularly due to the apparent lack of progress in the ongoing investigation.
Earlier, music artist Kareyce Fotso spoke out, stating that “Baby Mathis deserves justice now” and declaring that “When justice delays, injustice prevails.” She urged the justice system to rise to public expectations and called for a life sentence for Dagobert Nwafo.
