West: road accident leaves 8 dead

8 people have died and 11 others are injured following a road accident which occurred this Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at about 10 AM at Banéfo in the Bafoussam I District.

A bus from the Avenir voyages agency collided with a truck transporting goods and coming from Foumbot .

The injured have been admitted at the Bafoussam Regional Hospital and the dead bodies deposited at the same hospital mortuary.

The Governor of the West region, Awa Fonka Augustine has visited the injured at the hospital and extended his condolences to the bereaved families.

“The Governor of the West Region presents his sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and hope for a speedy recovery for the injured,”a release from the Governor’s office reads.
