Two suspected murderers arrested, others on the run

Police arrested thetwo suspects in connection to the assassination of a teacher, businesman who hails from Babadjou in the Bamboutos division.

Dieudonne Nguemeta, physics teacher was reportedly shot at gunpoint by criminals who invaded his residence in Nanga Eboko, Centre Region, during a robbery operation and took away the sum FCFA 2 million, on April 26, 2024.

Two of the culprits were later intercepted by members of the national gendarmerie at Nkoteng, same region. Their arrest led to the identification of some four gang members who are still at large.

The two caught were 48-year old Ndimadjina and Ottou Jean, 28. Four others are on the run and some of them identified as Ottou Foe, 56, Kita Maliki, 46, a military officer and an unidentified individual.

Weapons consisting of munitions and guns were also recovered from the criminals. They are currently being detained at the Nanga Eboko gendarmerie legion while the remains of Dieudonne Nguemeta were taken to morgue of the same locality.
