Fecafoot gate: Victoria United president to take legal action

The President of Victoria United football club, alias Opopo, Nkwain Valentine, has promised to take legal actions against those circulating an audio message on match fixing.

The two voices said to be his and Fecafoot president, Samuel Eto’o Fils, was leaked , where they were heard discussing on the fate of the club.

Fecafoot president is heard saying that ,the club, Victoria United, must ascend to the country’s top flight Elite 1 championship.

But Mr Nkwain said the voice is not his.

“We debunk them, our legal department is launching a law suit against those circulating them,” he said in a press conference organised on Saturday July 22, 2023 in Limbe, South West region.

He also described them as fake voice notes discrediting him and the club.

For the up coming season, the president said Victoria United’s goal is to qualify for CAF champions league and bring the trophy to Cameroon.

On the issues with a colleague, Henry Njalla Quan Jr, the Opopo president said he financed every bit of expenses made by the former during campaigns for national Fecafoot elections. That he even gave him FCFA 2 million as gift and lent him some money.
