Police abandon physically challenged persons in bushes after protest arrests

Some physically challenged persons who staged a protest in Yaounde have appeared in a very disturbing video.
In one of the videos, a group of four persons can be seen standing in the rains with mini buses known to be rampant on the Yaounde – Soa road in their background. They complain that elements of the Police force took them from the post central neighborhood in Yaounde and dumped them in a village they call Nkolodom in the outskirts of Soa with no form of assistance whatsoever.
In a separate video, another group of blind men can be seen with shirts torn, canes broken and slippers cut. They explain that elements of the Police brutally dragged them into vans and took them to Mbalmayo where they were abandoned as well.

The group led by Jean Bonheur were at the Post neighborhood this June 30th for a peaceful protest asking that government makes jobs available for them or that a special body be created to take care of their needs. Until now, authorities have paid no attention whatsoever to their demands and have already been arrested and brutalized twice.
