PCC Moderator frowns at church members for not patronising her schools

The Rt. Rev. Dr Fonki Samuel Forba, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC has lamented that some Christians of the church do not support their institutions.

The PCC Moderator who doubles as the proprietor of Presbyterian Schools made the remark during the induction of some six area managers and principals of the South West and Littoral regions in a church service on May 5, 2024 at PC Down Beach, Limbe.

The prelate said after a tour of PCC schools, they noticed that more Presbyterians send their children to other lay private schools.

“Why do you hate your own, why? It is your thing if you want it to die, no problem,” the PCC Moderator said spontaneously.

Rt. Rev. Dr Fonki Samuel reminded the Christians that the schools just like other institutions run by the church aren’t his, and are meant to support God’s work. He said he wasn’t going to make away with them to his local Akwaya at the end of his mandate.

That notwithstanding, the chief shepherd of the PCC who is in his final year of a renewed 5-year mandate at the helm of that church expressed gratitude to the Presbyterian Education Authority (PEA) teaching staff.

He said the teachers had proven beyond reasonable thought, their commitment to the church and its educational endeavours in the face of the ongoing sociopolitical instability rocking the North West and South West regions.

He went on to challenge Christians to be appreciative of these efforts by sending their children to PEA schools which he said continue to witness low enrollment.

Rt. Rev. Dr Fonki Samuel Forba believes that his institutions provide both quality education and morality to transform Cameroon.
