Partial Cabinet Reshuffle: Nalova Lyonga Is New MINSEC Boss, Esso, Tchiroma, Ndongo Maintained
Yaounde, Cameroon-Friday March 2, 2018-9:30 PM Local Time (Cameroon News Agency) President Paul Biya has appointed former Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea, Dr Nalova Lyonga as new Minister of Secondary Education. The appointment was made public on State Media Friday March 2, 2018. The former UB CV who went on retirement less than a year ago was recently appointed as Board Chair of the Douala General Hospital.
In the presidential decree reorganizing the cabinet, Atanga Nji Paul formerly Minister of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic has been appointed as Minister of Territorial Administration, exchanging his position with Rene Emmnanuel SADI. While Elanga Obam Georges comes in as Minister of Decentralization and Local Development, a new Ministry created on the wake of crisis rocking the two regions and repeated calls for a return to Federalism or restoration of the State of former West Cameroon.
Elung Paul formerly Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Finance is the new Deputy Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, replacing Peter Agbor Tabi of blessed memory, while Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh is maintained as the Secretary General.
Yaouba abdoulaye takes the place of Elung Paul as Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Finance.
A new Director at the Civil cabinet has been appointed, Paul Biya goes for Mvondo Samuel who replaces Martin Belinga Eboutou.

Ministers of Higher Education, Communication and Justice; Fame Ndongo, Issa Tchiroma and Laurent Esso respectively, who are believed to have fueled the Anglophone crisis, have been maintained.
By appointing Nalova Lyonga and Atanga Nji Paul, Anglophones now have only two Ministers with Portfolios.
