ONIES warns FECAFOOT “high risk” involved in insistence to play in Garoua

The National Office in charge of Sport Infrastructure and Equipment (ONIES), has said FECAFOOT should be ready to bear the consequences of insisting to schedule the Cameroon-Namibia match in Garoua.

In a correspondence dated August 29, ONIES reiterated the readiness of the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium for the AFCON qualifier on September 7. “The Yaounde stadium has been ready for a month now” an excerpt of the document indicated.

ONIES said there’s limited time to inspect and give a report on the conformity of the Roumde Adjia stadium with CAF prescriptions.

The office in charge of the stadiums added that the national station CRTV, will face inconveniences to broadcast the match, as material will have to be transported from Yaounde to Garoua.

ONIES has also been making preparations for the match Chad vs Cote d’Ivoire, scheduled at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium on September 10 2024.
