Nkambe will represent NWR at national clean city contest

Nkambe subdivision in Donga Mantung division is the cleanest locality in the North West region of Cameroon.
The municipality headed by Mayor Nfor Musa Shey was crowned on Thursday August 24, 2023 in Bamenda during the North West regional administrative security coordination meeting that was presided over by Governor Adolphe Lele L’Afrique.
The municipality overthrew Kumbo, Fundong, Tubah, Wum, Andek and Ndop municipalities to win the title for the second time in a row. The town of over 70,000 inhabitants will represent the region at the national contest that comes up in Garoua in October this year.
The chief town of Donga Mantung finished in the 10th position last year at the national clean city contest that took place in Bertoua and bagged a cash prize of F CFA 20 million.
To encourage workers of the municipality in their efforts, the North West Regional Assembly offered them some hygiene and sanitation kits comprising of wheelbarrows, dustbins, masks, safety jackets and helmets.
