- Ms Pierrette Tizi’s Commentary as Deputy Regional Coordinator of World Dynamics of Young People was concentrated on how persons from the other parts of Cameroon see her people from Maroua as inferior beings. She explained her people are not welcomed in another part of Cameroon because they have a different religion and way of life.
She also explained women do not play a key role in decision-making in the North because of traditional practices where women are not allowed to speak among men. This she says has made women to shy away from discussions that concern themselves and their children.
