Nathalie Yamb criticised for baseless terrorism attribution to Rebecca Enonchong

Her tweet surprised her followers, who have known her as a Panafricanist, supporting the cause and standing strong with Africans across the world. Africans stood with her when she was banned from the Schengen zone, a point which proved that her Pan Africanism was gaining ground.

Panafricanist abroad and propagandist at home? This is the question many are asking after she boldly asked a question about whether Cameroon’s presidential election candidate Issa Tchiroma Bakary and one of her supporters, Rebecca Enonchong, had taken part in a terrorist attack as their plan Z to get to power.

“A panafricanist like her. She fights Tchiroma, claiming that he worked with Biya but supports the one from Niger, even though he himself was part of the former president’s system. I’m sure this hateful woman is friends with the CPDM,” someone commented.

A political Activist and Whistleblower, popularly known as Nzui Manto, revealed that Yamb told lies because there had never been an attack on the date she purported.

A CNA’s findings showed that there was instead an attack against government forces, leading to the death of a soldier on November 4.

Ibrahim Nsangou, the soldier killed by Boko Haram on November 4 in the Far North.

Where did Yamb get her reports from?

There is no information that the Cameroon soldiers eliminated 163 Boko Haram terrorists. If this were a normal misinformation on social media, it could have been comprehensible that she was surely misled, but the intent of the post had a goal- to discredit those fighting against election rigging in Cameroon. Someone commented on her tweet saying:

This self-proclaimed pan-Africanist activist seems to have a selective view of the struggle for justice. Her relentless efforts target only opponents, while she remains curiously silent on arbitrary arrests and the killings of post-election protesters.

Another person said, “Finally, the mask has fallen off. You really are part of the organizing party. This kind of information, which escapes the private press, comes directly from the CPDM, so only those close to power are aware of it. Tchiroma, whose victory was stolen from him by your friends, is now a member of Boko Haram?”

Nathalie, who tried to defend herself in the comment section by saying that she was just asking a question, got cooked by another person who said she was just doing propaganda for her selfish aims, “Your question is out of place, ma’am. You now agree that you do not agree with a northerner being in power. Why this attribution? Why do you think this is the case? Here in the far north, we have been threatened for more than 10 years by the Boko Haram group, so you mean that was Kamto’s plan at the time? The FDS didn’t have the equipment to fight this group. Was that Chiroma’s plan Z?
Here we are, watching it happen before our eyes. The Boko Haram has enough heavy equipment, more than our FDS.”

Scales are beginning to fall off the eyes of Cameroonians and Africans in general, who are now seeing the true face of the self-styled panafricanist. At least all 26 Schengen countries have banned her, including an African country.

  1. Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast): She was deported to Switzerland in 2019 after criticizing the Ivory Coast government (and France’s presence in Africa) at a conference in Russia. The official reason cited was for engaging in political activities “incompatible with the national interest.”
  2. France: She was issued a ban on entry and stay on French territory in January 2022, which was made public in October 2022. This action was attributed to her anti-French activism.
  3. European Union (EU): In June 2025, the European Council reportedly placed sanctions on her, which include a ban on entering or residing in the European Union and an asset freeze within EU territory. The stated reason was her alleged ties to Russian private military companies and engaging in information manipulation to undermine security and democracy in the EU.

Fake News

Many have wondered why the selfstyled panafricanist who claims to have a good reputation will involve herself in spreading such fake stories and defaming reputable household techie like Rebecca Enonchong and Presidential election candidate Issa Tchiroma Bakary, who received massive votes from the people before being sidelined, and Paul Biya was announced as the winner of the 2025 presidential election.

But drawing the line would not be too difficult- Yamb has always criticised long-standing dictators in Africa, but skipped her country, Cameroon. Even when she talks about Cameroon, she speaks from both sides of her mouth, and never as ferociously as when she speaks about other countries.
