Mvila SDO says he never approved Franckist movement existence
The Senior Divisional Officer for the Mvila in the South region has debunked information circulating on several news platforms affirming that he recognised and authorized the existence of the Frankist movement political party.
In a release dated July 28 2022, Mvogo Sylyac clearly states the document signed on December 17 2021 is fake and does not exist in his office archives.
On December 17, a document was widely shared on social media, with the signature of the Mvila SDO approving the existence of Rassemblement Republicain des Franckistes du Cameroun(RRFC) with Biba Mendi Joseph as president.
Mr Mvogo has reiterated the non authenticity of the document and stressed that only the minister of territorial administration has the right to authorise an association or a political party.
Members of the Franckist movement have been on the field since last year, calling on the youth to join the movement ahead of the 2025 presidential election. Franck BIYA, son to President Paul Biya has not made any public statement as per his affiliation to this association although numerous banners bearing his image have been seen in several neighborhoods in Yaounde.
