Man and wife in critical situation after fulani militia attack

Chumte Denis and his wife Bertha, are now receiving treatment after they were attacked by fulani militia on Sunday September 17, 2023

CNA correspondent said the incident occurred at Nkwi quarter in Gom village, Nwa subdivision, North West region.

“In the course of this attack,  the male received cuts on the head , hand and genital organ. The wife received cuts on the arm and fingers. As of now, the couple are being transported to the Bafoussam hospital.The situation is horrible and critical.”

Nwa has been the centre of rivalry between herders and farmers and this escalated since 2016 when the armed conflict in Anglophone regions started.
