Macabre discovery of a popular farmer made in Bawa-fido, Babadjou

Inhabitants of Bawa Fido, a locality in Babadjou subdivision were in shock following the macabre discovery of the lifeless body of a popular farmer known as Aloris in the early hours of Wednesday December 20, 2023.

According to local sources, the body of Socmata Aloris was discovered by locals at the hills of farms called Touhlechi at the foot of Mount Bamboutos in the West Region, where he exercises his daily duties as a gardener.

“We were passing here early this morning when we fell on the corpse of Aloris. We did not know what happened. We had to alert security forces.” declared an eye witness.

Preliminary findings done by medics of the Babadjou Medical centre and elements of the Gendarmerie unit of Babadjou, have it that Aloris accidentally fell from the summit of the hill, and hit his head on rocks which led to his immediate death. He also had serious fractures on the head.

The 44-year old was married, and a father of 5. His remains have been handed over to his family for burial.
