Lebialem: Amba fighters bomb military car

It started with a video, recorded by the attackers, who said they were in Alou subdivision, in Lebialem division, South West region. They also noted that the date was Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

Then a locally made bomb, placed by the road exploded on an incoming military vehicle.

There was dead silence before chunks of smoke could be seen in the air, accompanied by random firing of gunshots by government forces.

“This is team Retinant, this is team Retinant…one of the children of major general Rascal of Alou..” the attackers confirmed.

The exact casualties are not known, but in another video, government forces are seen retrieving the bodies of their colleagues from the debris and bushes. Some were moving while others remained mute on the ground. No official statement has been made.
