YOSA to boycott match against Apejes

Yong Sport Academy of Bamenda did not travel to Mbouda for the day 11 match against Apejes of Mfou scheduled on Sunday, December 10.

The club’s authorities said they will not resume the Elite One championship if their home games are not played in Bamenda.

“We will not be taking part in the game as we await a response to our letter we dropped at the PM’s office and the federation” the club president Chi Chido Francois Mitterrand said.

The Yellow Submarines had written to the head of government and federation some days ago, highlighting their worries over the venue for home games. They say a response is yet to be received.

News portal Kick442 earlier reported that the players and staff had failed to gather at their usual spot of departure for games, the Veterinary Junction in Bamenda, ahead of the match against Apejes.

The North West side also complained about the financial burden and traveling expenses.
