Honorable Adamu Edward gifts 100 security jackets to Nwa bikers
These Jackets will serve for your personal and passengers’ security. Hon Adamu Edward told commercial bike riders in Nwa.
The Member of Cameroon’s Parliament from Nwa, Donga Mantung division, North West region, Hon. Adamu Edward has distributed security jackets to some commercial bike riders in Nwa subdivision.
According to the MP, the gesture which saw more than 100 bike riders from Sabongari, Mbem and Nwa go back home with a Jacket each is to reinforce security in the subdivision.
Each beneficiary is expected to register in their Union. A number for easy identification will be issued to him, we learned.
Should anything happen to any of the riders, the number behind the jacket will help to identify the victim.
This will go a long way to increase security in the subdivision, said the MP.
Commercial bike riders commonly called achaba, okadar, or Bend skin in Nwa extend their activities to Ndu subdivision, Magba in the West Region, Songkolong and Bakim in the Adamawa Region and to Gembu in neighbouring Nigeria.
Overwhelmed with the gifts, the riders expressed their gratitude to the MP and promised to use the gadgets according to the purpose.
Hon Adamu like many sons and daughters from Nwa who want to bring change in the area, has during parliamentary sessions questioned the state on some burning issues and the raison d’etre for the backwardness of Nwa Subdivision which is the oldest in Cameroon.
The MP recently bought some materials for the Mbem local giant electricity plant to be repaired so that the people of Mbem and beyond can continue enjoying this local energy.
Hon. Adamu Edward offered food stuffs to the Muslim community in Sabongari during the fasting period.
W few weeks back, he donated a minimum package of 100,000 FRS CFA to Ngom CBC Church in Sabongari as support to God’s work that has the potential to transform mindsets.
Hon Adamu’s mandate is faced with challenges such as the Anglophone crisis, inter community hitches in some parts of the subdivision and equally criticism from some of his fellow people from Nwa.
