Greatness & Hope: The People of Bamenda Are Not Fools!

Here is the Bamenda Gas Filling centre, which was inaugurated on May 9, 2025, by the Minister of Water and Energy, Gaston Eloundou Esomba. During the inauguration, the minister stated that the inhabitants of the region will henceforth purchase domestic cooking gas at a harmonized price of 6,500 FCFA per 12.5kg of gas.

Exactly 5 months later, not a single bottle of gas has left the center to be used by the population. We have been reliably informed that the place is empty with no gas. Also, the road to the filling center is inaccessible.

After suffering for years with dilapidated roads in the city of Bamenda, Prime Minister Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute launched the construction of the urban crossing roads on September 19, 2025. But the PM failed to give a date, when the construction work will kick-start.

Now is the time for campaigns, and officials of the CPDM are using these ‘imaginary’ projects to convince the people of Bamenda to vote for their party in the presidential election.

The ‘city of the future’ was long abandoned with poor roads, beeping electricity, no drinking water, and insecurity, but now they have come to tell the population promises and ‘hope’ for another 7-year mandate.

Bamenda deserves better!
