Former police inspector arrested for murder
41 year old Owona was sent away from the police force in 2012 for poor behavior but refused to abandon the uniform. This June 20th 2022, accompanied by 37 year-old Obama, they embarked on a dreadful mission.
Both men travelled to Ebolowa in the South region with the ambition of stealing a vehicle. Within a short time frame, their target is locked on a man whose name CNA got as Djafara. They then convince him to embark on a trip to Yaounde with an interesting remuneration at hand. In Yaounde, Djafara is asked to drive to Mbankomo and it is there that both men violently attack and kill the driver. His phones are thrown away as well as his body and the vehicle is stolen and sold to another car vendor.
Djafara’s family says he last spoke with his wife at 5PM that day. A second call made by her at 7PM the same day is picked up by someone who says nothing at all and thereafter, the number is out of service.
It is through the car’s buyer that the Police is able to arrest the murderers within 48 hours. The buyer and both killers have been arrested and will answer to their crimes in the Ngoumou court. Djafara leaves a wife and child to mourn him.
