FECAFOOT says F CFA 560 million was never paid into their accounts by government

The Cameroon Football Federation has vehemently declared that the amount of F CFA 560 million representing state subvcentions for the local leagues one and two competitions have not been paid into their accounts.

This is contrary to the information which had been made public by the treasurer at the state finance office late in the month of June. There, it was said that the money had been paid. this came after FECAFOOT preident samuel Eto’o had declared that “men working in the dark’ had refused to pay in the subvention graciously offered by Paul Biya.

In a communique signed this July 1, FECAFOOT explains that two subventions had been granted by the state for the smooth functioning of the federation especially as far as local competitions are concerned. The first one on April 13th worth F CFA 350 million was paid. The second however of March 22nd 2022 worth F CFA 560 million has not been paid by the sports ministry in spite of several calls to order from hierarchy.

If true, this implies that the documents circulated on social media by the fedration’s current opponents are doctored to discredit FECAFOOT leadership. In the concluding paragraphs, the federation calls on those holding the said amount to release it in order to ease the preparation of local competitions.
