To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the passing of Avi Abraham Sivan—a distinguished humanist, philanthropist, and long-time supporter of Cameroon—the ASAF Cameroon Foundation is honoring his legacy through impactful initiatives focused on children, education, and human dignity.
Support to Two Child-Focused Institutions in Yaoundé
FAPE Foundation – Yaoundé VII (Nkolbisson)
ASAF’s assistance has enabled major improvements for the children under FAPE’s care, including:
• the construction of modern sanitary facilities,
• the installation of a secure entry gate,
• the renovation of windows and living spaces,
• essential food supplies and basic materials.
FACT Foundation – Yaoundé V (Essos)
Founded in 1987 by Mrs. Marthe Ngo Mawege, a dedicated social worker and mother figure to generations of children, the FACT Foundation currently cares for 46 children, including several with autism.
ASAF’s support to FACT includes:
• the rehabilitation of buildings,
• the construction of new sanitary facilities,
• the development of kitchens and play areas,
• the provision of educational materials, food supplies, and essential goods.
The staff shared a heartfelt message:
“ASAF is the gentle breeze that rekindles the warmth our children need. We keep the foundation in our prayers.”
€25,000 in Social Investment for Immediate Impact
Together, the two centers are receiving €25,000 in targeted social investment aimed at sustainably improving children’s living conditions, hygiene, safety, and personal development.
Its director, Mr. Serge Mayag, expressed deep gratitude:
“Thanks to ASAF, we can finally offer our children a dignified and safe environment. You are a blessing to our mission.”
Official Inauguration Ceremony – December 10, 2025
These donations will be officially inaugurated during a ceremony attended by Mr. Eran Moas on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. On this occasion, hundreds of customized T-shirts, polo shirts, and caps were distributed to children, volunteers, workers, and friends of the foundation.
A Living Legacy: Action Over Remembrance
For ASAF Cameroon, honoring Avi Sivan means continuing a vision rooted in compassion, education, and the protection of the most vulnerable. Avi Sivan was also a symbolic figure in wildlife conservation—Ape Action Africa paid tribute to him on November 22—and he was a tireless defender of human dignity. His values continue to inspire initiatives that change lives across Cameroon.

Each child supported by the foundation carries forward Avi Sivan’s mission: serving humanity with courage, humility, and compassion.
