Douala: Fire engulfs snack bar

The entire content of a snack bar located around “Entree Bille” in the Bobongo neighbourhood in the Douala III municipality has been ravaged by wild flames. The incident which occured this August 11th saw locals struggling to put out the flames to prevent spread of the fire. Firefighters later arrived the scene but some houses had already been partially affected.

Enormous material damage was recorded with huge loss incurred by the operator of the snack bar.

According to sources, the fire generated from an electrical fault.

Over the years several of such snack bars have been burnt to ashes by flames from different origins.

Last year, the content of The H-CLUB snack bar in Bonamoussadi was reduced to ashes. Same case with Dubai snack bar in Bonaberi, Cheval Blanc snack bar and many others in Douala attributed to short circuit.
