These figures were given by the Minister of Public Health during a press conference this March 25, 2020 in Yaoundé.The Minister of Communication, government spokesperson, René Emmanuel Sadi and his colleague of Public Health, Malachie Manaouda gave a joint press conference in the evening of March 25, 2020. It was opportunity for the Public Health boss to take stock of the Coronavirus situation in the country.
“Cameroon already records 75 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with one death and two people completely healed”, Malachi Manaouda said.
The two members of government recalled the importance of respecting the measures prescribed by the President of the Republic, recalling that sanctions will be taken against defaulters.
On the subject of Mr. Achille Essome Moukouri, the uncle of former footballer, Patrick Mboma, who died on March 23 and whose family claims died from this covid-19, MINSANTE maintained that the deceased had not not undergone a COVID-19 test.
“It is therefore impossible, to say that he died of the Coronavirus”. Said Dr Manaouda Malachie.
