Copper Queens humiliate Angola to qualify for fifth WAFCON

The Zambia women’s national football team have secured their place at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) finals for the fifth time and third time in a row .

The Copper Queens effortlessly defeated Angola 6-0 in their second leg fixture at the Levy Mwanawansa Stadium on Tuesday, December 5, leading 12-0 on aggregate.

In the initial leg, Zambia won six-nil and proceeded to build on their momentum in the subsequent meeting.

The Copper Queens were unrelenting with remarkable performances. Susan Banda scored from the halfway mark for a 3-0 lead, while Esther Banda scored her first goal in national team colors assisted by captain Barbra Banda.

Kundananji sealed the second-leg victory by scoring her 11th international goal of the year.

Angola had no chance to score as the home side dominated the match which was their first to play at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
