YAOUNDE,Cameroon-Tuesday August 7, 2018-4:20 PM Local Time (Cameroon News Agency) The Presidential candidate for the leading opposition party in Cameroon, SDF, Hon. Joshua Osih has urged Cameroonians to actively take part in his political program or be part of his volunteer team, to unseat the 36 year old regime headed by President Paul Biya come October 7, 2018.
He made the call Tuesday shortly after the country’s Election management body, ELECAM , published names of 9 candidates retained for the October 7 polls.
According to him, this can be achieved through an “Alliance of the Forces of Change, a union of honest citizens ready to act for peace and who understand that there is no peace without social justice.”
STATEMENT OF OSIH
Elections Cameroon, the body in charge of the electoral process in our country has confirmed my candidature for the presidential elections of 7th October.
The Cameroonian people know the fight that our party, the Social Democratic Front, the party of change, has conducted to ensure the complete independence of this organ as well as free elections. This fight is still on course and we continue to denounce in strong terms, the limitations of our electoral process.
However, in spite of these limitations, the time has come to mobilize. We should not give in to the temptation of disagreements or laissez-faire while our country already devastated is on the brink of complete destruction.
I therefore invite you to prepare for the elections of October 7th to exercise your right as a citizen, and choose a new leader to run our country Cameroon. We have to save our Cameroon.
As for me, I have already started working to ensure our victory so that at the close of October 7th, a new era will begin for our country
This work will be accomplished through the Alliance of the Forces of Change, a union of honest citizens ready to act for peace and who understand that there is no peace without social justice.
Our joint efforts will unite those who dream of a transformed Cameroon where there is equal opportunities and social justice, a country where everyone has the right to progress and wellbeing
This is my commitment for a better Cameroon, and I can’t make it without you. Your support is my most faithful ally.
Could it be through a contribution to the political program or by becoming a volunteer, my hopes are on you.
