Bleaching drink saga: Health Minister suspends product, business MP closes agencies in Cameroon

Honourable Nourane Foster has announced the closure of Nourishka agencies in Cameroon. This comes after reports of her drinkable bleaching products went viral in social media.

The Minister of Public Health on Tuesday August 9, 2022, called her attention on such drinks, adding that his Ministry has never approved of the drinks as per the 2007 law.

Though a registered company since 10 years, the closure means the polemic drinkable liquid will no longer be in Cameroonian market.

She took to her Facebook wall on Wednesday night August 10, 2022, to make the announcement, few hours after a controversial report on her new beauty drinks broadcast on France24 sparked controversy amongst Cameroon consumers. “France24 wins, Nourishka a Cameroon enterprise shuts down” she howeverdescribed as false the report on the “boisson embellissante Nourishka”

But she was interviewed in the broadcast report.

A whole lot of lies bringing down our efforts, efforts of hundreds of Cameroonians. No investigation, just edited allegations which have nothing to do with reality” She wrote.

Hon.Nourane Foster however has encourage female entrepreneurs not to give up in their businesses, though admiting that being an entrepreneur is difficult.

This outing of the 34 year old PCRN parliamentarian for Wouri East, comes hours after public health minister Dr Manaouda Malachie dissociating himself from such and urging the NCPB and SCD to react.

The MP has said the media and politics are the two tools used to sabotage her.
