Cameroon to compete in 2023 Cricket Africa Cup Qualifiers

Cameroon’s national cricket team is set to participate in the 2023 Cricket Africa Cup Qualifier Tournament in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The competition which will be in its second edition, is organized by the African Cricket Association (ACA) and will have eight teams of two groups in the north and eastern divisions of the qualifiers.

Group A teams include Nigeria, Rwanda, Zambia and Gambia while group B has Cameroon, Kenya, Mali, and Sierra Leone.

Cameroon’s opening fixture will be played against Kenya on December 6.

The competition will see each team play in a round-robin group stage format followed by semifinals and final between December 6-10 in South Africa.

The Cameroon national cricket team will be participating  with a team of 14 players summoned by coach Solefack James.

The players include; Abega Nyoma Welcome (Captain), Tchakou Idris, Aminou Abdoulaye, Nseke Toube Alain Innocent, Dipita Bassahak Bryan Loïc, Nseke Toube Bruno, Kulbhushan Jadhav Anil, Ndouteng Kemandja Narcisse, Abanda Protais, Bekoa Mengoumou Appolinaire, Abada Amah Roland Gildas, Atangana Awono Roger Duplex, Veron Fortune Bomnyuy, and Balla Alexis Raoul.
