Ahmadou Ali, the longtime Minister meets death

The Vice Prime Minister, 79, died in Switzerland on Tuesday September 27, 2022, where he was receiving treatment.

The former Minister of Justice and Vice Prime Minister, Minister delegate at the Presidency of the Republic in charge of relations with the Parliament was born in 1943 in Kolofata in the far north region.

The Politician has also served in many categories as SG at the Ministry of Public Service between 1974 to 1982.

He also served at the Ministry of Tourism, Delegate General of National Gendarmerie, Secretary General at the Presidency, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defence, Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Defence and then Justice minister in 2001 where he held the position until 2011.

Burial program

Prayers shall be held at the Tsinga Islamic centre in Yaounde on September 28, 2022 at 7am, followed transfer of corpse to the Yaoundé Nsimalen airport for Maroua on a special flight.

Upon arrival in Maroua the capital of the far north region, his corpse shall be taken to his native Kolofata for burial.
