AFCON2023:Cameroon among youngest teams

The indomitable Lions of Cameroon are among the top 5 youngest teams competing in the 2023 edition of the African Nations Cup in Cote D’ivoire.

With an average age of 25.04, Cameroon and Guinea Bissau are tied for the third youngest teams out of the 24 participating countries.

The youthfulness of Cameroon’s squad is exemplified by players such as 17-year-old Wilfried Nathan, 20-year-olds Simon Ngapandouetnbu and Junior Tchamadeu, 21-year-old Ben Eliot, and 22-year-old Christopher Wooh.

In as much as Cameroon has some young players, the team also boasts of experienced players ranging from 26 to 31 years old, with Vincent Aboubakar and Karl Toko Ekambi being the oldest while Njie Clinton, Devis Epassy, Fabrice Ondoa, Castelleto, and Zambo Anguissa Range between 28 and 30.
