Adamawa: Kidnapper killed by security forces after failed operation

The village of Tourningal, Belel subdivision in the Adamawa region of Cameroon was the scene of a crime action turned sour this August 7th 2022.

A man whose name CNA got as Ahmadou Hadja Adda Djaawa was kidnapped for ransome at about 3 AM. The victim however refused to give up without a fight and succeeded to escape. The kidnappers returned to his house two hours later to take his daughter who is a student of Terminale at Govrnment school Tourningal. On their way back to their hideout, they were caught in a gun battle with forces of law and order who successfully neutralized one of the kidnappers.
