Nigerian Gospel singer caught with alleged girlfriends head, says cheating made him commit passionate crime

The resident of Nasarawa State was caught with the head of his alleged girlfriend on Sunday in Agwan Sarki, Orozo a neighborhood that shares boundaries with the federal capital city, Abuja.

Ajayi Timileyin was arrested in an uncompleted building, local media reported.

He was caught with the plastic bag where there was a head , that resembled that of his alleged girlfriend, Salome Adaidu whom he said they dated for one year but the family of the victim said they have never seen him with their daughter.

Ajayi later gave different versions to the macabre story saying at one point that he saw messages in the phone of the victim, from her numerous boyfriends. He confessed that this made him commit the passionate crime.

In another video, he narrated that the girl was too demanding for money forcing him to terminate her life.

Those who know the victim say she entered a wrong transport tricycle called Keke, as she fell in the hands of Timi.

Her elder sister also said she was never his girlfriend. The family thinks that the girlfriend issue came up as a cover up to a bigger crime he has been committing.

“My sister was cut into 40 pieces” she told the BBC.

Neighbours said they heard loud music from his home approximately the same time the girl was being killed.

Ajayi was arrested pending trial.
