Cameroonians reassured of regular, permanent supply of petroleum products
The Deputy Director of the National Petroleum, Gabriel Etike Ebokolo, has reassured Cameroonians that there will be regular and permanent supply of fuel in filling stations following several days of shortage.
He was speaking during a press briefing in Yaounde on Wednesday November 29, 2023.
According to the Director, there was a logistic hitch that provoked a tension in the supply chain in the city of Yaounde.
“I will like to reassure the population that there is no problem with the availability of petroleum products, either in Yaounde or its environs. There was a slight problem in the supply chain in the city of Yaounde, as of now, everything is back to normal. The management has taken several measures to ensure regular product supply to Yaounde and its environs,” he said.
The director further stated that “We will like to remind the population of safety and due to its dangerous nature, it is essential to avoid the storage of this products in order to limit the risks of accidents. We count on the discipline and understanding of everyone.”
Yaounde has been experiencing fuel shortage for some days now, which has resulted in many persons storing fuel in homes or parking their vehicles.
