Classes finally resume at GBHS Fundong, 5 years after
Students have effectively resumed classes at Government Bilingual High School, GBHS Fundong in Boyo division, North West region.
On Friday, October 6, 2023, the Senior Divisional Officer for Boyo, Tegni Fidele hoisted a symbolic flag at the school campus to officially relaunch classes at the school premises.
The SDO was accompanied by the Mayor of Fundong council, Denis Awoh Ndang together with security forces.
In 2018, separatist fighters burnt down a section of the school and several school materials were destroyed. The act forced the school administration to move to Government Technical High School Fundong.
Recently, the North West Regional Assembly rehabilitated and equipped the school, making the administrators and students go back to their formal campus.
“The Regional Assembly is doing good work with this rehabilitation project. Students should appreciate and take care of the gift,” says SDO Tegni Fidele.
School administrators, teachers, and students were equally called upon to be vigilant and make sure they report any suspicious activity or faces to security forces.
