“Since I laid eyes on that gut-wrenching video of the cold-blooded execution in Guzang in the North West of Cameroon, I haven’t just been distressed – I’ve been deeply saddened. My family has had a cherished connection with the chiefdom and its people for over a century, so this tragedy hits close to home for me.” Akere Muna said.

The Lawyer wondered by those fighting in Cameroon’s Anglophone regions have continued to commit crimes against humanity, thereby squashing international peace efforts,

“It’s baffling to comprehend why, despite our efforts to seek peace and garner international attention, we constantly find ourselves having to explain the suffering faced by those who are supposedly the object of the struggle.”

He also said wondered why “innocent children are being denied their right to education.”

Barrister Akere said such events will only help to push away any international support,
