Momo SDO condemns arbitrary killing of two civilians in Guzang
The Senior Divisional Officer for Momo division in the North West region has condemned the killing of two civilians in Guzang, Batibo subdivision in Momo division.
In a press release issued on October 5, 2023 by Fouda Etaba Benoit, SDO of Momo division, terms the act as “barbaric and unacceptable”. SDO Fouda Etaba says security forces are investigating to track down those who committed the act.
“In these said circumstances, the SDO for Momo reprehends in strong terms, this barbaric and unacceptable act of violence, perpetrated in violation of human rights on unarmed civilians” a section of the stsatement reads.
According to the SDO, a group of armed terrorists invaded Guzang on October 4, kidnapped two civilians from their houses and shot them dead at the Guzang market. The civilians were identified as Mbanyamsig Hansel Ndi and Aburo Cletus.
The SDO further calls on the population to fully collaborate with administrative authorities and forces of law and order help in the investigation process and to bring back peace in the division.
